With summer vacation right around the corner I decided that our last project of the year should be a about "Vacations". When I found the book above,I knew I found a WINNER! Gold fish are fascinating creatures if you take the time to learn about them. Did you know that their teeth are located at the back of throat? It's true! It is also true they don't have eyelids, so the sleep with their eyes open!

Glorious Goldfish!

The 2nd and 3rd grade class had an incredible time learning  the skill of "double loading" their brush with TWO different paints in order to create a melted effect. One paper was painted for the ocean, the other paper was painted for the fishes body. Many of the students exclaimed that this was their favorite project this year! Although they say this in regards to many of the projects we did this year, I am encouraged each time they say it for it is confirmation that the students loved what they doing! Their success is MY success! See the 2nd and 3rd grade class projects below!
